Privacy policy
What happens to information you submit.
This page explains how Family Lantern handles information submitted through its forms and how that information may be used to connect families with third-party providers.
Family Lantern helps connect families with vetted providers
Family Lantern is not a home care provider, home health agency, medical practice, or emergency service. It pairs families with home care and home health providers that specialize in the services they need. Family Lantern vets the providers it works with and completes a background check on each one, but Family Lantern is independent of the providers and does not license, certify, or employ caregivers, so please confirm licensing, insurance, and caregiver screening before you hire.
Information you may submit
A care request includes your name, phone number, ZIP code, the kind of care you are exploring, and when you would like it to start, plus your email address if you choose to give it. A general message through the Contact page includes what you write. Please don't send diagnoses or other medical details.
Submissions are stored by Family Lantern and emailed to the Family Lantern team so we can respond. We do not use your request details for advertising or share them with analytics or advertising platforms.
How information may be shared
If you submit a request and provide consent, the information may be shared with third-party home care and home health providers for referral and marketing purposes. Those providers may use the information to contact you about their services, availability, pricing, or eligibility.
Providers are independent businesses, not part of Family Lantern. Once a provider receives your information, its own privacy practices apply.
Depending on the consent you provide, vetted providers may contact you by phone, text message, or email. Family Lantern does not decide which provider accepts a request or what a provider will offer.
Your choices
You can choose whether to submit a request and whether to check the consent box for phone or text contact. You can also ask a provider who contacts you how to stop further messages from that provider. Read the form language before submitting so you understand the choices available to you.
You can ask Family Lantern to tell you what information we have from your request, to correct it, or to delete it, and to stop sharing it with providers going forward. Send that request through the Contact page. Information a provider has already received is held by that provider; ask them directly to delete it.
Questions and updates
If you have a question about this policy or the referral model, use the Contact page. This policy may be updated as the service changes; the current version will be posted on this page.
Do not submit emergency information through this site. For a medical emergency, call 911.
